A Night at the Garden (2017) features archival footage of a 1939 rally of 22,000 Nazi sympathizers in Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event was advertised as a pro-American rally and held on the anniversary of George Washington’s birthday.

As you watch consider:
  • How is patriotic imagery juxtaposed with the group’s pro-Nazi and anti-Semitic message?
  • Can you think of any other instances in which patriotic imagery or rhetoric has been used to sell racist ideology?
